The weather’s been heating up in LA so I’ve been reaching for simple Summer pieces like a cool summer dress or this romper with a fun tropical print from Ami Clubwear! It’s super lightweight and so easy to just throw on and run out of the house! I usually like a little more coverage so I paired it with a light grey cardigan. I don’t own a lot of rompers so I was a little hesitant about picking this out but I thought it has such a great summer print and is a simple piece to have.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Picks!

It’s the sale we’ve all been waiting for and it’s finally here! Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale has tons and tons of great deals on anything you could want. I mark my calendar for this day every year so that I can snag some great clothes, designer pieces, and accessories at a discounted price. Right now, it’s open to Nordstrom card holders for early access to the sale and regular access will begin on the 22nd! Unfortunately, I don’t have a Nordstrom card, so I’m going to wait until Friday to do my shopping! I’ve already looked at the items I would want but I’ll do a little more browsing when I can actually start buying! Check out my picks below!

It’s Summertime and with the weather heating up, I’ve been wearing a lot more shoulder baring blouses and ripped jeans. Well actually, I wear ripped jeans year round, but still! I purchased this lovely white cold shoulder blouse from Target and I love how light the fabric is as well as the feminine bohemian feel to it. It’s perfect for a sunny Summer day!

AMARA KITCHEN IN HIGHLAND PARK, LOS ANGELES

My sister and I decided to grab a healthy brunch because we knew with July 4th, we’d be eating tons of junk food! We love coming here for amazingly delicious and healthy dishes. I love getting their bowls and pancakes. I’m a sucker for pancakes and I know that if I don’t stop myself, I’d eat the entire stack; butter, syrup, and all! I love their version which is paleo friendly and won’t make me feel as guilty after! Plus, the decor here is adorable!

WEXLER’S DELI in DOWNTOWN, LOS ANGELES and SANTA MONICA

I love love love everything bagels and any chance I get, I try to avoid them because I can’t lose control. I would eat a few in a sitting with cream cheese too! Anyways, we went to Grand Central Market on the weekend to grab some brunch and I allowed myself to splurge by getting the Big Poppa’s bagel sandwich from Wexler’s Deli. It has pastrami, cheese, and egg on a bagel of your choice. And my choice was an everything bagel, of course! If you love smoked salmon/lox, bagels, pastrami, or corned beef, this is the spot for you!

RECESS in HIGHLAND PARK, LOS ANGELES

Went to try this new spot out for dinner one night with the boyfriend. We loved the decor and thought the food was pretty good. I did really really like their dessert! It was a panna cotta with a coffee crunch ice cream on the side. I heard their brunch is delicious so I’ll probably go back to give that a try!

It is easily interchangeable so you have plenty of freedom to switch it out on a regular basis depending on what color scheme or mood you’re in! I’ve been loving fun Aztec prints with pink tones in it! What’s yours?!

Ruffles in the Windy City!

On our last day in Chicago, the boyfriend and I visited the Art Institute of Chicago. It was one of the places I’ve always wanted to go ever since I watched Ferris Bueller’s Day off! We visit at least one art museum almost everywhere we go and the Art Institute did not disappoint!

I needed to wear something that allowed me to walk around the museum comfortably so I went for this blouse with layers of ruffles, skinny jeans, and some flats. I love when the ruffles blow in the wind and the windy city comes with plenty of wind! My blouse had tons of movement that day!

After we were done with the Art Institute, we rushed to get some deep dish pizza and nearly missed our flight! But we made it so it was great!

I’ve been seeing this 90s trend come back and I think it’s something I can be on board with! I love choker necklaces that are very delicate and simple. It adds a bit of something to any outfit without being overpowering. From the bolo style to delicate feminine gold ones, I am looking to purchase a few soon! Off Shoulder Blouse

The boyfriend and I went to Chicago last weekend to visit a friend and get out of town for a bit. The day we arrived was incredibly hot and humid, so maybe wearing black jeans wasn’t the best idea but I was glad that I wore this breezy white off shoulder blouse. It was oversized with tassel details on the front and bell sleeves. It gave my outfit a relaxed boho feel to it which was perfect for a hot summer day!

We went exploring around Millenium Park and to Wrigley Field for a quick photo op, as well as dinner around the area! It was a great day and we had such a great time catching up with our friends in Chicago! FullSizeRender (1)
