Black Romper

I never wear rompers because I sometimes find that they don’t fit me properly and they make it slightly difficult to use the potty. Have you noticed that you pretty much have to take the entire thing off in order to use the restroom? I’m not sure if there’s a secret or trick to using the restroom in a romper that I don’t know or something?

I received this one as a gift and it really made me feel so relaxed and comfortable on a scorching hot day! The off shoulder details are super pretty and the lightweight material made it so cool and perfect for the weather. I love that I felt like I was in PJs the entire day, so I’m thinking I might need more rompers to add to my closet!

FIRST VIDEO!!! August 2017 Lookbook

I made my first ever Lookbook video on Youtube and I’m so excited to share it with you guys! I’ve always just posted pictures of my outfits on blog posts and decided to take it a step further by creating videos. I feel like this is a great way to showcase the outfits better and kind of bring them to life. Personally, I love watching Lookbook videos so that I could see how the pieces are worn and move. It’s also a great way for you to take a peek into my life and what I do when I’m out and about in LA! 🙂

Please SUBSCRIBE to my channel for more videos in the near future!

Pink Kimono and Heeled Mules

Kimonos have been all the rage lately and I’ve kind of always had this one in my closet that I’d throw on every once in a while if I want something light. The long line kimonos are trending right now but there are times when I want a shorter/regular cut. This one in particular is a silky soft finish in a light pink.

I threw it over my usual white t-shirt and jeans uniform and paired it with my light grey heeled mules. This is why I love wearing a simple t-shirt and jeans all the time, because when I throw on different accessories, it can completely change up the entire look of the outfit.

I spent the day just having brunch at Bread Lounge and then heading over to the American Tea Room in the Arts District for some yummy matcha tea! Nothing beats a relaxing Sunday morning out!

Wedding Guest Outfit

I’ve attended about 4 weddings already and have a couple more to go this year! Each wedding is different and it’s good to know what type of venue it’s going to be at, the terrain, etc so that you know what to wear. Here is an outfit I wore to a wedding that was located pretty much in a nature park (forest) and then the reception was at a restaurant. Because we were both outdoors and indoors, I made sure to dress appropriately for both. I got this dress from Missguided and paired it with ankle strap heels but the heels were thicker, making it easy for me walk around and DANCE!

I’ve come to love midi dresses because they look very put together and sophisticated. I like the way they fall on me and I don’t have to worry too much about the dress being too short.

Summer Maxi Dresses

Maxi dresses are perfect for hot Summer days because it’s something you could just throw on and walk out the door! I love it because it’s like I’m wearing PJs or a mumu out and it’s perfectly fine! It can be difficult for petite girls like me, but like I’ve mentioned before, I actually just buy ‘midi’ dresses and they make perfect maxi dresses for me! I come in at a whopping 4’11” so I’m on the shorter end of the petite spectrum. You are considered petite if you are 5’3″ and under. For my height, I find that midi dresses generally fall right at my ankles, so they are maxi dresses for me! If you are a little taller than I am, it could run slightly higher for you. This is where you should know your measurements and pay attention to the length in the product description.

I particularly like this one because it has really cute pocket details and the color is this gorgeous dusty pink mauve. I’ll probably find some more ‘maxi’ dresses for myself to wear this summer, so below are some that I’m thinking of! 🙂

Blue Chambray Bomber and Fringed Shorts

Not that I was feeling blue or anything but I wore this cute chambray bomber jacket and stumbled on this blue wall, so it was perfect for a photo op! I wore my new Zara fringed shorts with a simple black body suit underneath. I have been wanting to try out some fringed bottoms or jeans of some sort but because of how small and petite I am, the fringes would just drag on the floor. Figured the best way was to just get shorts instead!

I love fringes and frays so I was really excited to stumble on these. My chambray bomber is also great to throw on if I want a light sweater or jacket. It’s not your traditional bomber, so it’s very breathable and lightweight.

Crochet and Lady Gaga

White crochet is perfect for bright summer days. There’s something so relaxed, feminine, and whimsical about a perfectly crocheted top. I paired this cropped off shoulder one with an olive draped skirt and my pointed toe mules. It made for a great Summer outfit for an afternoon date with the fiance!

We spent the day having a great lunch at Sqirl, grabbing an iced latte at Carrera on Melrose (where we found this cool Lady Gaga inspired wall), and then running some errands. Apparently, they change this wall out every so often, so I’ll make sure to visit it once in a while to see what they come up with next!

If you’re at Carrera, you’re also across the ever so popular Paul Smith pink wall! Make sure to stop for a photo opt if it’s not too busy!

Bomber and Joggers

There are plenty of days where I’m just not feeling it and want to be in my PJs. That’s when I whip out my comfy joggers. Throw on a simple tee, jacket, slides, and I’m good to go for the day! I wore this out to brunch with my sister and fiance, so there was really no need to dress up in any kind of way! We went to Urth Caffe in the Arts District and decided to walk around to explore the street art and the Arts District Co-Op, which is like a small shopping area with multiple vendors.

I wore a ribbed crop top, my lightweight bomber jacket, of course the joggers, some simple slide sandals, and accessorized with a clutch, sunglasses, and a minimal necklace. Yes, crop tops are pretty much like regular tops for me which on days like this, seem to work out best. I really did not feel like having my tummy out, but if you’re petite like me and DO want to find a crop top that shows a little bit of midriff, I recommend double checking the dimensions first so that you know it’s short enough for that. Otherwise, you’ll just end up with a regular shirt.

Museum of Ice Cream

I went with some friends to visit the ever so popular Museum of Ice Cream! We jumped on getting tickets to this the moment we heard it was coming to Los Angeles. Ice cream is one of the best things in the world and I couldn’t possibly miss a whole museum of it! The Museum of Ice Cream is a temporary exhibit but due to its popularity, it’s time here has been extended a couple of times. If you haven’t gone yet, I recommend going as soon as you can get your hands on the tickets!

We had tons of yummy treats and really had a surprisingly fun time in the sprinkle pool! I was a little hesitant when I first heard about the pool, but I really did enjoy it! 🙂 Just a warning, you’ll find sprinkles wedged in your clothes when you get home!

Exploring Parks

The Los Angeles State Historic Park recently went through a makeover and we really wanted to check it out. The fiance and I used to take our dog, Zooey, there for walks. It was just a nice open space with trails for us to take her on walks so we were really disappointed when the city had to close it down for construction. Now, it’s got a great new look with a cool bridge in the center that gives you an amazing view of Downtown!

As per usual, I am found in a white blouse and denim, but at least this time, they are denim SHORTS! That counts as changing things up right? Either way, I made sure to be comfy for a hot day in LA. I paired my outfit with some relaxed criss crossed slides that made it perfect for roaming around with ease!
