Instagram Recaps

I usually post a lot of quick outfits on Instagram and often get questions about where I get some of my clothes from. So I wanted to start recapping some of my Instagram posts every so often and provide links to where I get some of my clothes from! I know I’m always looking at other Instagram accounts and when they don’t provide information on where they get their clothes from, it makes me sad. And I don’t want you guys to be sad so here you go!
Here are some of my outfits from the past couple of weeks!

Sophisticated Camel

IMG_4817

I’ve had this camel coat from H&M for a long time now and I never get tired of wearing it. It’s the perfect color and warmth for winters in LA and I love the pink lining. Adds some femininity to the whole coat! It is very nice and structured for any outfit, so I paired it with a crisp white blouse and black jeans. I’ve been looking for more structured pieces that are quality and essentials in every closet. But that means I need to clean my closet out a little to get rid of the pieces I don’t really wear that often. It’s so hard to let go though….

LA is only going to get hotter now so I guess I’ll be putting it in the back of my closet until it gets cool again!

Grey Pullover

IMG_4780

This Winter, I was all about over-sized pullover sweaters that I could just throw on over my jeans for quick and easy outfits! I purchased this one from FREE PEOPLE and I love how cozy it is! It features a slight turtle neck and side slits which both add uniqueness to the sweater!

I’m sure I won’t be able to wear it much longer since LA doesn’t stay way too cold for that long, but I can save it for random cold days I guess! At least I got to wore it a few times so far! 🙂

Basic Trench Coat

IMG_4677

Nothing is more classic than your regular ol’ trench coat. I love being able to throw it over anything and it makes your outfit so chic and put together. This one was purchased from LOFT and it is perfect in material AND fit. I try to purchase from brands that provide petite sizing since I can skip the step of having to get my clothes tailored! Sigh…life of a petite girl!

I paired the trench with a comfy jersey dress and booties for a perfect Fall/Winter outfit in LA! I love being able to pretty much feel like I’m in PJs by wearing a loose and relaxed dress! The boyfriend calls it cheating but as long as I feel good and it still looks presentable, WHY NOT?!

Joshua Tree

IMG_4527

The boyfriend and I decided to take a quick weekend getaway to lovely Joshua Tree to celebrate the end of his finals last month. It was our first time there so we were super excited to explore and take our little Zooey (our husky lab) with us! We got an Airbnb so that we had a yard for Zooey to roam but the highlight of our trip was visiting the Joshua Tree National Park.

They don’t allow pets on the hiking trails but we were still able to drive to each view point and let Zooey explore around there. We soaked in the amazing views of the infamous Joshua trees, rock formations, and swirly clouds. It was such a nice relief from being in the city! Would love to go back there and may camp next time!

Frolicking in the Snow

IMG_4416

Denver is such a beautiful city and is a winter wonderland during the holidays. Maybe it’s because I rarely see snow in LA, I appreciated it more during our trip. We went to get lunch and found this little park nearby. My friend went straight to snowman making mode and I frolicked around crunching my boots in the snow!

I bundled up really well but I should probably invest in thicker coats. Just don’t know how often I’d wear one but in situations like these, I really want one! 🙂

Snowy Wedding

IMG_4366

Being that I am a California girl, I was definitely not prepared to brave the cold in Denver. We attended a good friend’s wedding and it just so happened that on the day of the wedding, it dropped about 20 degrees from the day before and snowed. I had no idea how to dress for a snowy wedding but I did what I could!

I purchased this silky maxi skirt from Lulus and paired it with a blue cami, grey cardigan (under my coat), and a camel coat from H&M. What I should have done was wear some leggings underneath but I didn’t think that far when packing my suitcase!

Of course, we wanted to explore the city a bit and stopped at a nearby park to take in the gorgeous winter landscape. It sounded much better in our heads as I walked through the snow with a pair of pumps and bare legs under my maxi! It was so terribly cold that all I could do was laugh through it. No words, just laughing hysterically. I guess it was the only way my body could comprehend the cold and try to warm itself up. 🙂

It’s something I’ll never forget and it makes for a great story!

Red Rocks

IMG_4325

We went to Colorado to attend our friends’ wedding on Thanksgiving so it was a great excuse to take a small trip and get out of town! The first few days we were there were super nice so we took advantage of the great weather to go sight see and explore! The weather took a great turn on Thanksgiving and started snowing though!

We drove from Denver to Colorado Springs so that we could check out a place called Garden of the Gods, which was a series of natural rock formations. They were so amazing to see in person so we had a great time! You don’t see things like this in LA!

White Off Shoulder

Went out for brunch with my sister and boyfriend one weekend so I wore this little number that I had recently purchased. I love off the shoulder blouses because they are so feminine and pretty. They do a great job of accentuating your neckline and shoulders.

This particular blouse has fun billowy sleeves with a tie detail. It is rather long on me since it’s a one-size-fits-all type of shirt, but I just tucked it in so that I have a bit of shape. One of the drawbacks to being petite I suppose, but I can handle it! Don’t be afraid to wear what you want! IMG_3999IMG_4004IMG_4005OUTFIT
